The Night King was the ruler of Merroutas, who had many soldiers and supposedly a secret army of over ten thousand mercenaries including Sergio. There was a rumor that when he found a traitor among his ranks they'd be skinned alive and that skin would be sewn into his cloak. Magiano and Adelina gain access to his estate at the beginning of The Rose Society to steal his diamond pin, for Magiano to see whether or not he wants to work with Adelina and Violetta. Adelina kills him with her illusions and his own sword after Adelina takes his pin as a stunt to get his mercenaries to support her instead.
